Knitting

Knitting is a process that turns a yarn or fibre into a cloth or garment. Knitting consists of rows of hoops on the needle called stitches. The fabric extends once the process of pulling a hoop through an existing hoop and repeated to create a garment.
Knitting can be done by hand or by machine. Depending on how thick or thin the needles are, it depends on how loopy or tight the fabric is.

Applique

Appliqué is a kind of patch that is applied to clothing. While patches are used to repair clothing, appliqué's are used to decorate. Many patches are often put together to make an object or scene. Different fabrics are selected for the individual patches to add texture, contrast and style

Saks
by Tom O'Brien-  Off With Her Head Collection
The collection is about the making of beauty.

Using surrealism to show and focus the head and hair alone. The body is discarded as it is unnecessary for the finished image. The eye is drawn solely to the colours and textures created.
